History: 

In 2016 Heather McManus collaborated with four fellow designers and started a buying group that was called Collaborate To Win and would become The Designers Collaborative. Having struggled to learn the inner workings of the interior design industry and most difficult being product sourcing, Heather CREATED the way to help ALL interior designers BUY better. 

In 2018, fellow designer Tracey Taylor came on board, and together, the two grew The Designers Collaborative to more than 500 Members across North America. In 2024 Tracey retired from TDC and Heather became the sole owner once again. 

The Collaborative currently offers over 300 of the most popular Vendor accounts — nearly all at Stocking Dealer pricing.

TDC Mission Statement: 

 The Designers Collaborative's (TDC) mission is to serve North American Interior Designers, Decorators, and Stagers by offering the BEST pricing with hundreds of Vendors while also providing business tools and resources, templates, education, and an amazing community.  We are NOT here to make money off you.  We are here to help YOU make money.

The Culture at TDC: 

TDC regularly surveys its Members and Account Holders so we can better understand their needs and improve our company. We hold weekly and monthly Zoom meetings to update or train our members along with providing a great video library. We are constantly improving our system by implementing our members’ ideas. We harness the power of the hive mind.

 
TDC is a company that believes in inclusion and acceptance for all people. We openly support the LGBTQ+ community. We strive for diversity within the group Membership, welcoming all genders, races, and religions.

 
TDC is collaborative like a family; we are there for each other in good times and bad. We believe in celebrating success and milestones as well as recognizing when a Member has a loss.

- As a Taurus and Dragon she makes bold moves and is unafraid to speak her mind

- Certified Director of Operations with a strong commercial and residential interior design background

- Previously, served as an Executive Assistant for the State of Tennessee, supporting top delegates

- Board member for the Interior Design Society Detroit Chapter and VFW 1206

- Marine wife, mother to five, loves the outdoors, good food, and summer by the lake

- Owner of Cochran Services, LLC

- Born and raised in NY/NJ and calls Fernandina Beach, FL home

- Married for over 50 years with 3 children and 9 grandchildren
