TDC Favorite Things from HPMKT Oct 2024
Attending High Point Furniture Market is always a feast for your eyes, with so many amazing products to see, feel, and test out. It is hard to narrow down our favorites, but we shall try to give you some highlights.
Ottomans with personality and storage. Adorable and funky shapes with creative trims and fabrics are great additions to any room design. Storage ottomans are always a bonus because you can never have too much storage.
A new kid’s collection from Momeni inspired a group of us to want a client job where we could use these in a child’s room. On top of being adorable, they are safe for kids and contain no toxic materials.
Momeni had plenty of gorgeous rugs for every room and at AMAZING prices! They have all categories from machine-made to hand-made, outdoor, wool and everything in between.
Century impressed me with a smart sectional design I have not seen before. Instead of the chaise piece coming out into the front it went back so you have a clean line and plenty of room for a large coffee table. It was also very comfortable to snuggle up in the chaise nook.
A few other notable upholstery vendors were Taylor King and Massoud. Both have consistent comfort in all their frames and cushions, beautiful fabrics to choose from and great design that sets them apart from their competition.
Meeting up with TDC Members is always super fun. We laugh so much when we get together. Since TDC Members travel from all over, it’s a great opportunity to connect at Market.
Last but not least, I have to say was the panel discussion TDC held on “Finding Your Go-To Vendors” with panelists Megan Thompson from Spark interiors and Interior Design Green List, and Sara from Sara Lynn Brennan Interiors. Attendees enjoyed brunch and soaked up the high level of information these experts had to offer, and then everyone had a chance to see some best kept secret vendors of the 3rd floor at 310 N. Hamilton Street by visiting Parker Southern, Temple, Zimmerman Chair, Green Gables and Old Hickory. Attendees also walked away with very nice swag bags.
All in all, it was a successful HPMKT. If you have never been to High Point, you should really consider going to the next one in the Spring (April 26-30, 2025).
