This month, we’re shining the spotlight on one of our favorite manufacturers: Gat Creek
We asked the Collaborative’s resident expert on Gat Creek to tell us more about why they love to source from this vendor.
Gat Creek was started by 2 brothers designing furniture in 1996 after purchasing a small furniture manufacturing company in West Virginia. The company they purchased, Tom Seeley, had built beautiful antique reproductions for over 40 years. Believing that great craftsmanship need not be limited to traditional furniture, Gat Creek was started.
The company has over 150 people who share a passion for woodworking, nature, and home. The hand-made solid wood furniture is proudly made in the US only, signed by the person who builds it and they work with sustainably managed maple, cherry, ash, and walnut from the high slopes of the Appalachian Mountains.
For beauty and long life, the solid woods are the world’s finest quality and have a great price point! A great value for a wholesome and solid construction!
The dining tables and chairs, for the kitchen or dining room, have a simplistic appeal and are admired by architects. The style lends itself to many options of where to utilize any of their products. My favorite dining table is the Tuscany, and for a more modern look, the Palisades or Monterey are great looks!
For form and structure, you cannot go wrong with any of their bedroom suites! They come with many options of the type of wood, stain, and or paint! The company will customize the bed to fit the adaptable mattresses as well!
What is unique about Gat Creek furniture is how sophisticated it is and simple of the time! You can create a shaker, coastal, traditional, modern, or transitional combination!
The best is the customer service that you get when you call in, is so efficient! You can be confident ordering products from them.
