Vendor of the Month – Nourison Home

Laurie Berry from Sharon Ryan Design Group, a member of The Designers Collaborative (TDC), shares why Nourison Home is one of her favorite vendors in this month’s Vendor of the Month.

Tell us a little bit about Nourison Home.
Laurie: Established in 1980; Area Rugs, Broadloom Carpet, Accent Rugs, Custom-sized and finished broadloom rugs, Customized recoloring and sizing of area rugs.

Where are their goods made?
Laurie: Factories in China and in the state of Georgia, USA.

Tell us about the quality and price level.
Laurie: Products are widely considered to be high quality by industry standards. Many rugs are 100% wool or wool blends.  Price levels vary from economy options to higher price points for more exclusive designer rug styles.

What makes it unique?
Laurie:  Innovation is at Nourison’s core. They take pride in the relentless pursuit of excellence – whether it’s weaving time-honored traditions with modern fiber enhancements to create styles that last, or creating signature high-low and hand-carved finishes that go beyond the status quo to add special touches of depth and texture. The company is also dedicated to minimizing its environmental impact while also supporting sustainability in its manufacturing processes and selection of raw materials. Nourison’s designs also include many styles featuring bold colors and a variety of colors, in addition to the neutral and more muted styles commonly offered by other carpet brands.

Heather: I completely agree, especially about the richness of the color!  I don’t think anyone does vibrant colors like Nourison.

Do you have a favorite product that you consider a go-to item?
Laurie: The Prismatic rug, offered in many different colors and variations, is a signature area rug pattern for Nourison that is often featured in market showrooms prominently.  Sharon Ryan Design Group has sold this in a few variations for different client projects.

The Colorado rug is another versatile style that works well in a variety of design applications and is offered at an accessible price point.

Any final thoughts?
Laurie: We encourage all TDC members to consider sourcing rugs and broadloom from Nourison for their next project.  TDC members enjoy access to this brand at an excellent stocking dealer price point.  In addition, if members would like to establish a broadloom library Nourison is offering their Craftworks display at a price of $299. It includes 30 of their bestselling broadloom samples.  Details are below, and TDC members can contact Laurie to order this sales kit.

Laurie: Additionally, I think it’s worth mentioning that Nourison is one of TDC’s rare vendor accounts that is completely supportive of our buying group and its mission to help designers access their company’s high-quality products at the best prices.

Heather: YAS! Doing business with companies that support The Designers Collaborative is the cherry on top!  I love that Nourison Home sees the vision of what TDC offers and is completely on board.  It really is a win-win!
