Tell us a little about Alder & Tweed
Laurie: Alder & Tweed offers a range of upholstery and case good products at a reasonable price point with contemporary and mid-century modern styling for bedrooms, dining rooms, living rooms and offices. The brand originally began as a US-based interior design firm in 2010 that launched its own furniture line in 2012.
Heather: I love the price point and the range of products they offer as well.
Where are their goods made?
Laurie: Most inventory is made overseas.
Tell us about the quality and price level.
Laurie: The quality is good for a mid to low price point vendor. More than one TDC member at fall market in 2025 remarked on the durability of the sectionals that they had sourced from Alder & Tweed for clients with families.
What makes it unique?
Laurie: Wide variety at an easily accessible price point. A very responsive inside sales representative helps move orders and queries along smoothly. In addition to stock items, A&T has a “Made to Order” custom sectional program offering different configurations, fabrics, and styles, making sofas highly customizable to fit any client’s space perfectly.
Do you have a favorite product that you consider a go-to item?
Laurie: Upholstered beds, dining chairs, and side tables seem to be some of the most popular items.
Any final thoughts?
Laurie: If you like Four Hands, Moe’s, Bernardt, Arteriors, etc. please take a fresh look at this brand for contemporary-leaning items or for something with a mid-century modern vibe.
