On September 5, 2023, The Designers Collaborative, fondly called TDC by its members, will be celebrating its 5th year in business! Five years ago, Heather + Tracey launched what is now a successful and thriving business servicing interior designers, decorators, and home stagers.
The growth and expansion of TDC has been remarkable from its humble early beginning with just 5 designers who met around Heather’s dining room table with a handful of vendor accounts to now averaging an increase of 100 members per year and offering over 300 vendor accounts to over 500+ members.
TDC has blossomed in so many ways, including a rebranding in 2021 complete with a name change from Collaborate To Win to The Designers Collaborative, a new website, and the addition of special digital resources free for all Members and for sale for all non-members.
This past year, TDC hosted numerous webinars for its members and was also a big part of hosting tours with key vendors at High Point Market in North Carolina. Heather has flown all across the United States meeting with members and vendors at conferences, showrooms, and numerous meet-ups. She has a passion for explaining the value of being a member of The Designers Collaborative.
TDC members are vetted, professional designers from all across North America, some of whom band together to share over 300 of their commercial and residential vendor accounts with TDC’s members at a lower price point than most designers could ever have access to. This is a win-win-win for all involved. The members enjoy a higher profit margin (up to 66%), the vetted Designer/Account Holder enjoys a little profit for processing the order, and the Vendor enjoys increased sales.
Heather and Tracey created some new industry tools this past year that assist TDC members how to run their business more efficiently and not leave money on the table. These powerhouse ladies also set up a 24/7 full-service system that empowers the members to see pricing and other valuable tools for themselves anytime day or night.
